Employee’s withholding allowance certificate.  It’s used to find out the correct amount of tax to withhold from their wages. Tax withholding depends on employee’s personal situation.

Certificate of Capital Improvement.  Have your client complete the certificate of capital improvement to relieve you from any sales tax liability due on the work. You should not collect sales tax on capital improvement jobs. NYS Publication 862 explains what capital improvement is in detail.
